Monarch
Proper Breaststroke technique, endurance combination stroke swimming and butterfly stroke. New skills include sidestroke and use of mask, fins and snorkel. Please consult the schedule for days and times of Monarch classes.
Stroke Club (Butterfly III level or higher)
This is a great introduction & overview of swim team skills. This class focuses on the 4 cometitive strokes, their starts and turns. Improve endurance and stroke teachnique. 45 minute, weekly lesson.
Cost: Fall - $202 for 11 weekly 45-minute lessons (price is adjusted each swimester due to holidays in the schedule)
Days & Times: Monday 6:30 - 7:15 OR Thursday 6:30 - 7:15 pm
Instructor Aide (Ages 11 - 15)
Learn what it takes to be a swim instructor. Improve your stroke teachnique, learn basic lifesaving skills with components from the Guard Start program, pool procedures, communication skills and working with various age groups.
Cost: Fall - $71.50 for 11 weekly lessons
Spring - $65 for 10 weekly lessons

Guard Start (11 - 14)
Objectives: Designed for youth ages 11 to 14, American Red Cross GuardStart: Lifeguarding Tomorrow™ provides a foundation of lifeguarding and life skills. GuardStart focuses on five key areas: Prevention of aquatic accidents, Fitness and swimming skills, Response in an emergency and Leadership skills and Professionalism as a lifeguard
Prerequisites: Ability to swim the front crawl for 25 yards continuously while breathing to the front or side. Ability to tread water for 1 minute using arms and legs. Ability to submerge and swim a distance of 10 feet underwater.
Cost: $117 for 9 weekly lessons (includes manual & materials)
